THE STORY BEHIND THE PIECE

Rooted in Amazigh Tradition

Tafila — named for the oasis city nestled between the Atlas and the desert — evokes the vivid colour of Amazigh life: the electric blue of tilaas dye, the geometric patterns woven into rugs and tattooed onto skin. The artisans who craft this bracelet carry that same chromatic tradition, translating centuries of enamel-work mastery into a piece that is as alive with heritage as it is with colour.

Amazigh Patterns

The geometric language of the Amazigh people is one of the oldest visual traditions on earth — etched into Saharan rock faces over eight thousand years ago, woven into textiles, tattooed onto skin, and hammered into silver and copper across generations. Triangles, diamonds, chevrons, and interlocking lines are not decoration: each form carries encoded meaning — protection, fertility, the mountain, the eye, the path. To wear Amazigh geometric patterns is to wear a script that predates every alphabet.
